David González
David González joined ABC7 Eyewitness News in April 2022 as a reporter and multi-skilled journalist based in Orange County. David was born and raised in Santa Ana, California, so this is a homecoming after nearly 15 years away.

After earning his associate degree from Santa Ana College in 2007, he transferred to Arizona State University in Phoenix, where he graduated with a bachelor's degree in broadcast journalism from the Walter Cronkite School of Journalism and Mass Communication in 2010. He is a proud Sun Devil.

Most recently, David worked as a reporter in Houston for the CBS affiliate, KHOU-TV. He covered a wide range of stories including the aftermath of the Astroworld tragedy and several hurricanes to make landfall across the Gulf Coast. David has also worked in Pensacola at WEAR-TV, in Wichita Falls at KFDX-TV, and Tucson at KOLD-TV.

In his spare time, David loves to spend time outdoors, workout, travel and hangout with family and friends. He loves to try new restaurants, so if you have any recommendations, send them his way!

David is thrilled to be back in Southern California covering stories where he grew up. If you ever see him around town, feel free to stop him and say hi. He loves meeting new people and hearing your thoughts about what is happening in your community.
