As an artist, a queer artist, I feel like I have a social responsibility to give back to the community that I'm in and to participate actively in the well-being of our community.Local artist Coco Nella
Corinne Pulsinelle, aka Coco Nella, is a muralist, designer, and fine artist who is based locally in Downtown Los Angeles.
Her murals are designed to coalesce with each unique environment, with an awareness and love of community.
Her art can be seen all over the Los Angeles area, and one of her murals is displayed inside of a Lululemon store at the Americana in Glendale.
I wanted to create something that celebrated Pride's powerful impact of tolerance, inclusion and acceptance. And the inspiration that is built within the fabric of our culture and our society.SoCal muralist Mike Habs
Mike Habs likes to explore enthusiasm and transcending adversity, and he explores that a lot with color and contrast.
He started painting in a garage 12 years ago, and two years ago he started painting artworks and commissions full-time.
His t-shirt design, he says, symbolizes the radical acceptance of the Pride rainbow, but bring a new energy to it.
It will always be joy.SoCal muralist Ricky Sencion, describing what he wants people to feel when they see his designs
Ricky Sencion has been creating this series of pink sheep for over 10 years.
It came from reading a book about fashion designer Alexander McQueen, where McQueen referred to himself as a pink sheep.
McQueen's idea of being different and queer hit the spot for Sencion. He says he really believes that's who we are - just joy existing.
I want to raise people's consciousness. Not change it, but raise it to another level.Local muralist Marisabel Bazan

She says she enjoys different art forms, like painting and doing sculptures and murals.
