Anti-ICE protesters shut down 101 Freeway in DTLA
Anti-ICE protesters briefly took over the 101 Freeway just before 4 p.m. Tuesday.
AIR7 was over the scene as California Highway Patrol officers formed skirmish lines to get the protesters off the freeway.
Officers were seen confronting the protesters and pushing them back. Protesters began throwing objects at the officers as they fought back.
About 5 to 10 minutes later, CHP was able to move the protesters off the 101 Freeway and onto Aliso Street, which parallels the freeway.
Traffic remained shut down at Alameda Street.
At least two people were seen getting detained.
